Lovisa Axén (b. 1996) graduated in Textile Art from Konstfack in 2021. Her exhibition of textile works opened on 15 May with a vernissage from 16:00 to 20:00, refreshing walls that a pop-up of vintage finds, jewellery and crafts had kept busy. At the time of the show she was preparing a solo exhibition at Galleri VERA in Norberg and a duo exhibition with Carter Schocket at Seventh Hour Art Gallery in Brooklyn.
Among the works on view: Steel Solid (2023), recycled Swedish tin, 30 by 50 centimetres; En rörelse i ögonvrån (2025), a portrait of Bella Goth in 400 hand dyed shirt buttons and silk mohair yarn, 22 by 22 centimetres; and I Found My Love On The Internet (2023), recycled Swedish tin, 30 by 50 centimetres.
