Twice the programme has been handed to strangers: the call that filled Slask 2025 with four exhibitions, and the summer residency call that brought the first Stockholm resident.

Some of the best weeks in the gallery’s calendar were not planned in the gallery. They arrived through open calls.

In late October 2025 the call for Slask went out: Slask is calling for all creators, performers and dreamers, a shapeshifting exhibition concept to enlighten the darkness of December. The deadline was 2 November at 23:59, and what came back filled the month: Eden-ish, Fragments of the Unfinished, Angel’s Last Breath and MAT, four exhibitions in four weeks.

In June 2026 the second call opened: the PCG Summer Residency in Stockholm, July 2026, open to applicants across disciplines. We promised, in our own words, a euro summer with one of you out there.

The first answer to that promise was Andréa Spartà, born 1996 in Chagny, France, introduced in July as the first Stockholm resident. Two calls so far, two answers: a December and a summer. When the next one opens, it will be announced the same way the others were, plainly, with a deadline.
