Andréa Spartà (b. 1996, Chagny, France) lives and works in Paris, and is Parallel Collective’s first Stockholm Resident. His practice, spanning installation, writing, altered objects, drawing and sound, is built around standardised things and images made available through the suspension of their intended function. His work inhabits narration without quite telling a story, operating through elusive presence, duration and subtle shifts in attention.

His work has been shown at Kiang Malingue, New York; :DDD Kunst House, Yerevan; FRAC Île-de-France, Paris; Benny’s Video, New York; Kaiserwache, Freiburg; Kunsthalle Bern; Fondazione Pistoletto, Biella; and Fondazione Zimei, Pescara, among others.
