Karl Patric Näsman and Christoph Punzmann played the whispering game between Stockholm and Vienna, letting image, sound and material retell each other.
Play the whispering game long enough and the message becomes something else. Stille Post, an exchange project between Stockholm based artist Karl Patric Näsman and Vienna based composer and sound artist Christoph Punzmann, treats that drift as a method. First shown in Vienna in 2025, the exhibition arrived at Parallel Collective in Stockholm this spring.
The show asks what happens to information as it moves between image, sound and material. Näsman’s paintings and sculptures share the room with Punzmann’s sound work, and the pieces keep retelling each other: copying, translation, repetition.
One group of sculptures makes the method literal. They are cast from 3D printed reliefs based on an ancient sculpture in the Ephesus Museum in Vienna, so each work sits somewhere between original, copy and transformation, with digital technology folded into traditional sculpture processes. An object whispered across time and cities arrives in Stockholm slightly, deliberately changed.
At the opening on 30 April 2026, Punzmann performed an electroacoustic sound piece in the gallery at 18:30, to limited seating and full attention. The exhibition then stayed open through the weekend and Monday, 12:00 to 16:00, and by appointment. Stille Post was made with support from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
